Pirates of the Caribbean Exhibition - March 1, 2003 through September 7, 2003 (The Disney Gallery, New Orleans Square, Disneyland)

"There's a swashbuckling, adventure filled, new exhibit at Disneyland Park!  The Disney Gallery is proud to present an attraction you won't want to miss - the Pirates of the Caribbean Exhibition, on display March 1 through September 7, 2003.  The Disney Gallery will once again open its doors to reveal an exhibit featuring original concept art from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction."

That's what the flyer from Disney said.  The exhibition itself was pretty interesting, with lots of neat stuff to look at.  My favorites are listed below.

Here, piggie, piggie, piggie.

See a pattern here?

My one disappointment, though, is a bit nit-picky, I know, but these are the kinds of things that matter to me.  Disney sees fit to do this terrific exhibit about one of its premiere attractions, and there are all kinds of nifty things available to see.  This is not an off-the-cuff, put-together-at-the-last-minute type of thing - it's a major exhibit.  So for something like this, I would expect the little things to be taken care of, and it's incomprehensible to me when they're not.

Perhaps hiring a proofreader might have been a good idea?

UPDATE

Partway through the run of the exhibit, some of the displays and props were changed.  They apparently also figured out some of the typos, as they seem to have actually gone to the trouble of having new, correct ones made.

Disney gets major points for fixing the two signs.

But, they didn't seem to have learned their lesson, as one of the new placards also contains a slight error.

One word shy of perfection.
